Season of Giving

Every year at Children's Health, we treat nearly 300,000 patients battling cancer, heart disease, trauma and more. As a nonprofit, we depend on the generosity of the community to help us provide world-class care.

This season, we're celebrating some of the individuals giving back to Children's Health by donating, advocating and volunteering. Read the inspiring stories below and learn more about how you can help make life better for children.

Meet our North Texas Giving Day Heroes

They want to start kindergarten, graduate from high school, grow up to be a doctor or a nurse. They want to walk again.

Our kids count on us to get them to the big milestones in their lives, and we count on you to help us get them there. Below, meet Camila, Davion and Finley - a few of our kids dreaming big because of your support. Then, check back in Sept. to read their full stories and learn how your support helps kids like these.

  • Camila

Her aunt taught her how to apply blush to accentuate her cheekbones and eyeliner to brighten her eyes. But no one prepared Camila and her family on how to fight cancer.

    Meet Camila

  • Davion

He wasn’t sure he’d live to see this day. A muggy evening in May, wearing a polyester gown, is not the stuff of teenage dreams. But this day – his high school graduation – was Davion’s dream.

    Meet Davion

  • Finley

“We’d sang her a million-and-one songs trying to put her to bed or rock her to sleep at night, and she’d never heard any of it,” Finley's mom said. “She’d never even heard us say, ‘I love you.’”

    Meet Finley
