Meet Micah

At 13, Micah told his mom he was having chest pain. She knew to listen because she'd survived heart failure and a transplant herself.

What doctors found was staggering: the worst case of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy his cardiologist had ever seen. Micah's heart was operating at just 7% strength. Like his mom before him, he would need a new heart.

While he waited, Micah noticed that support for teens facing transplant without a guide like his mom was lacking. So he decided to build one himself.

Today, Micah has a new heart, a thriving support community he created for other teens, and big dreams for the future.
