Dr. Rodriguez-Baez connects with Latino and Hispanic families
Norberto Rodriguez-Baez, M.D., is a pediatric gastroenterologist (GI) at Children's Health℠ and a professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
As a proud Hispanic physician from the island of Puerto Rico, Dr. Rodriguez-Baez is thrilled to have the opportunity to connect culturally with patients, Latino and Hispanic families at Children's Health, to help them more easily understand diagnoses and treatments by explaining everything in their language: Spanish. From the moment he greets his patients when they arrive for the doctor's appointment, to when he teaches Zumba classes at Seacrest Studios, Dr. Rodriguez-Baez's positive energy and sense of humor are indisputably contagious.
Dr. Rodriguez-Baez received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, completed his pediatric residency at the school's University Pediatric Hospital, where he served as a resident executive for one year. He continued to do his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Stanford University Medical Center and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
“I am proud to be Hispanic, I am happy that I have the opportunity to help children and families in my community." – Dr. Rodriguez-Baez
