Choose Children's Health
As a nonprofit, Children’s Health depends on the community’s generosity to fulfill our mission of making life better for children. That’s why you’re invited to choose Children’s – just like Troy Aikman, Clayton Kershaw, Dirk Nowitzki and Jordan Spieth – by donating, advocating or volunteering.
When you choose Children’s Health, your time and money go to giving kids the best experience, the best care and ultimately, the best fighting chance to get back to being a kid again. Learn more by watching the video below.
Meet the Team
We’ve teamed up with four local legends to share the stories of why they choose Children’s Health and give back to the community they call home.
-
Troy Aikman
For three decades, Troy has affirmed, “the kids are the real heroes,” while supporting Children’s Health. He helped fund hospital playrooms through our child life program and supports pediatric cancer research through the annual Children’s Cancer Fund gala and fashion show. The Pro Football Hall of Famer wants to be involved until the final victory over childhood cancer is won.
-
Clayton and Ellen Kershaw
The Kershaws began supporting Children’s Health in 2017 with a focus on child life and pet therapy programs. Yearly, Clayton swaps a baseball for a microphone as the beloved emcee for the holiday tree lighting celebration at Children’s Health. Even as one of the most accomplished pitchers, Clayton considers his charitable work as one of his greatest achievements.
-
Dirk and Jessica Nowitzki
To most, he’s an all-star basketball player. To our patients, he’s been known as “Uncle Dirk” for more than 10 years. During the holiday season, he assumes the role of Santa to bring holiday cheer and fulfill patients’ wish lists. And after seeing how North Texas has grown in recent years, the Nowitzkis are closely involved with our emergency room reimagination and renovation project.
-
Jordan and Annie Spieth
Inspired by two friends who battled cancer as children, The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation launched their fight against pediatric cancer with a donation to Children’s Health. The gift helped establish a fund to offset travel expenses for patient families in clinical trials and supports child life services in our Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Get Involved
By choosing Children’s Health with your time, treasure and talents, you’re choosing to enhance care for our patients, discover cures for childhood illnesses and improve health and wellness across the North Texas community.
-

-
Volunteer
We could not serve all of our families without the gifts of time and energy from a generous community of friends and volunteers.
