Dallas Stars Alumni Marty Turco and Patient Champion Adalynn Named Honorary Chairs of 2025 Swing Fore Miracles Presented by Neighborhood Credit Union Benefiting Children’s Health℠

DALLAS, TX (September 11, 2025) – Children’s Health is proud to announce that Dallas Stars Alumni Marty Turco will serve as the Honorary Chair of the 2025 Swing Fore Miracles Presented by Neighborhood Credit Union. He will be joined by Adalynn, a determined and inspiring teen patient, who will serve as this year’s Honorary Patient Chair. The event will take place Friday, November 7 at Topgolf in The Colony.

Celebrating its 5th year anniversary, Swing Fore Miracles has become a signature Play Yellow event for Children’s Medical Center Foundation. This corporate-focused tournament at Topgolf brings together corporate supporters, golf enthusiasts and community champions to raise funds for pediatric care. Proceeds from the 2025 tournament will support the new Dallas pediatric campus project, which is a joint venture between Children’s Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center. It will serve as a collaborative center for innovation, academic research, training and the advancement of lifesaving technologies.

“Marty Turco has been a longtime supporter and champion of Children’s Health. We’re thrilled to have Marty and our inspiring patient, Adalynn, leading this year’s Swing Fore Miracles,” said Brent Christopher, president of Children’s Medical Center Foundation. “In addition to Adalynn’s amazing journey, they remind us why our community comes together to make life better for children every day.”

Turco, one of the most celebrated goaltenders in Dallas Stars history, has continued to make an impact off the ice through his leadership in the community. He has championed programs that support children and families across North Texas, with a focus on health, education and wellness. His support of Children’s Health reflects his commitment to helping kids stay healthy, active and supported both on and off the ice.

“I’ve always believed in the power of sports to bring people together and inspire change,” Turco said. “Children’s Health does incredible work for kids and families when they need it most, and it’s a privilege to support an event that helps make that possible.”

Representing the patient voice is Adalynn, a vibrant 16-year-old who lives with colonic dysmotility, a rare condition that impacts her digestive system. After years of unanswered questions, Adalynn finally received a clear diagnosis through the motility program at Children’s Health. She now manages her condition daily through a surgically placed cecostomy button, which allows her to stay active and engaged in life. She plays golf, tennis, volleyball and softball, bakes award-winning carrot pecan cakes, and even finds time for competitive art.

“The child life specialists make me feel more comfortable, more at home. They’ve taught me it’s OK to be scared and also to tell the doctor and nurses what I like or don’t like,” Adalynn said. “They have helped me to stay strong and do the things I love.”

This year’s Swing Fore Miracles will feature team-based Topgolf play, pre-tournament networking and the highly anticipated Longest Drive Challenge sponsored by Good Good Golf. Good Good Golf’s support helps make this event a one-of-a-kind experience while raising essential funds for families in need.

“We’re proud to support Swing Fore Miracles and the incredible mission of Children’s Health,” said Matt Kendrick, CEO of Good Good Golf. “It’s inspiring to see so many people come together through golf to raise funds that directly benefit families facing challenging medical journeys.”

In addition to Good Good Golf, presenting sponsor Neighborhood Credit Union, Avondale Dealerships, Mayan Technologies and Caruth Protection Services are helping make this milestone year possible. Thanks to their support, the 2025 event is nearly sold out.

As the presenting sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, Neighborhood Credit Union continues to champion the mission of Children’s Health. Their partnership has helped bring together a growing community of supporters and expand the reach and impact of Swing Fore Miracles for patients and families across North Texas.
