Frequently Asked Questions

 

  1. If I’ve registered for a fundraising page, am I registered for the tournament?

    No, the tournament registration is found on the USTA site. You must register to play in the tournament, in addition to creating your fundraising page.
     
  2. If I play in the tournament, do I have to register to fundraise in order to collect money?

    Creating a fundraising page is just one way to raise money. The fundraising page is a simple way to collect donations, by emailing or distributing your page link for friends and family to donate to you via electronic check or credit card. If you chose to collect money in other ways, you can mail a check  (do not mail cash please) or bring cash or check to Children's Medical Center Foundation to process for you as you go, or you can turn it all in at High Point Tennis Center Saturday, September 21, 2019 and Sunday, September 22, 2019. It is our goal for each player to help Children’s Health by raising money for the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders!
     
  3. What if I receive donations that aren't made through my fundraising page online?

    Only processed donations (i.e. credit cards, checks or cash received and processed by Children's Medical Center Foundation) will be reflected on your fundraising page thermometer. Please allow 72 hours for donations to be processed. If you would like your funds to show on your fundraising page thermometer, send checks made out to Children’s Medical Center Foundation, with your name on it, to be processed and added to your page. The location to send donations is: Children's Medical Center Foundation Attn: Suzanne Harrison,  2777 Stemmons Frwy, Suite 1700, Dallas, TX 75207. If you would like to hold on to your collected cash and checks, yet still have them reflected on your Fundraising Page, you can post them on the “message board”. All donations will be calculated into the fundraising total for benchmark prizes. Fundraising for prizes ends at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 21.

  4. How do I create a fundraising page?

    Please click here to create your fundraising page. For questions about your fundraising page, please email giving@childrens.com.
     
  5. Can my parent’s employer match my fundraising through an employee match program?

    Yes! However, all matching funds must be received by the Children's Medical Center Foundation prior to the fundraising cut-off date (3:00 PM on September 21). Or, a verified letter from the employer acknowledging the match must be issued by that date, if the funds cannot be released by that time.
