Spirit Halloween and its Spirit of Children’s mission is to make hospitals less scary for kids and their families by supporting the Child Life department at partner hospitals across the country.
Spirit of Children recently presented a check to Children’s Health for $76,458, and representatives from the company were invited to make polar animal masks with patients in The Zone. Since 2008, Spirit of Children has raised $865,100 for Child Life at Children’s Health.
“We are truly honored to help fund Child Life,” said John Lusk, a senior regional director for Spirit Halloween. “We love putting a smile on the face of a child who is undergoing testing or treatment. This is the best way for Spirit Halloween to show our gratitude to the Dallas community who have supported us over the years. We feel the Child Life specialists are the real heroes in the pediatric medical field, and we love supporting them.”
