Robertson Twins

A heartfelt gift for mom

It’s difficult for a mother to watch her child be taken away for risky surgery – twice as difficult when you have twins and both need the same procedure. Laura Robertson’s identical boys, Ryan and Reece, were born with identical heart defects. Each had a valve that needed repair and a hole in his heart. Mom said she would never forget that moment when she entrusted her 4-month-old babies’ strawberry-sized hearts to the care of Children’s Health. Today, they are 10 years old – talkative, engaging, funny. There’s no sign that they once had major surgery. Read their story »

This Mother’s Day, to show your heartfelt thanks for all she does, consider making a gift to Children’s Health in honor of the special mom in your life.

Kendra Scott Gives Back

Kendra Scott gives you a reason to treat mom

Mom has most likely told you, “I don’t need a thing” for Mother’s Day, because that’s how moms are – selfless and always looking out for others. But what if you could give her a lovely gift that would please her and help patients at Children’s Health? You will have a special opportunity to do just that Wednesday, May 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at a very special Kendra Gives Back Party.

Visit any of the six metroplex stores, choose a beautiful piece of jewelry for each of the moms in your life, and 20 percent of every sale will benefit Children’s Health. Stores are located in Dallas at Preston Center and West Village, in Plano at The Shops at Legacy, in Allen at Watters Creek, in Southlake at Southlake Town Square and in Fort Worth at University Park Village.

Additionally, when you make a purchase of more than $100, you’ll be entered to win a piece from the new Summer Collection; one winner per location.

Sips and sweets will be served at each store during the three-hour event. Not able to shop at one of the six Kendra Scott locations between 5 to 8 p.m.? You can complete your purchase over the phone during these hours, and your purchase will be shipped for free.
