WHAT IS KIDSTRUCTION WEEK?
KIDstructon Week is an opportunity for the North Texas regional architectural, engineering, and construction industries to join together to build strong tomorrows by supporting the Children’s Health mission to make life better for children.
HOW CAN My COMPANY PARTICIPATE?
Participating companies may offer their employees the opportunity to contribute, via payroll deduction, $1 for each hour worked during KIDstruction Week in March, some percentage of their paycheck, or some other formula. Exact dates will vary from company to company, but most participating companies are choosing the first full payroll week in March.
A company may also choose to match employees’ gifts at a percentage of its choosing or make a lump sum donation to demonstrate its commitment to the cause.
In addition, sponsorship opportunities are available to align your company with the Children’s Health brand in a promotion targeted specifically to the construction industry. Sponsors committed by January 3, 2017, will be recognized in the promotional materials that are used to encourage employee participation.
HOW DOES MY COMPANY GET STARTED?
To get started, complete the KIDstruction Week Registration Form on the website; or download the form and return by email to firstname.lastname@example.org; or by mail to Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Attn: Audra Cozart, 2777 Stemmons Fwy, Suite 700, Dallas, TX, 75207.
Next, your company will need to appoint a “Foreman” – a leader who has the respect of other employees and who will be enthusiastic about the campaign. Your Foreman will be responsible for distributing KIDstruction Week materials to employees, encouraging participation, collecting pledge forms, and coordinating operational details with your payroll or human resources department. This person should be a strong communicator who is comfortable answering employee questions. Depending on the size or structure of your company, you may want to designate more than one KIDstruction Week Foreman to ensure all of your employees at job sites and in-office locations have the opportunity to participate.
We hope your KIDstruction Week Foreman will be available to attend the KIDstruction Week kickoff on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at The Ginger Man, 2719 Boll St. in Dallas. At this meeting, he or she will receive special campaign-related training and all the tools needed for making KIDstruction Week a success for your company.
How is my company recognized?
KIDstruction Week will have a KIDstruction Zone at the Red Balloon Run and Ride on April 22, 2017. Our top sponsors will be featured in the KIDstruction Zone and will have an opportunity for employee engagement with more than 15,000 event attendees. For additional sponsorship benefits, visit our sponsorship page.

HOW ARE THE DONATIONS USED?
Every day the construction industry is building, expanding and creating. Your generosity during KIDstruction week allows Children’s Health to build, expand and create programs that help hundreds of thousands of children every year. Proceeds will enhance vital Family Support Services programs, such as social work, pastoral care, and special therapies like pet, music, clown and art therapies as well as other programs that are not covered by insurance, yet are proven to produce superior patient outcomes when combined with exceptional medical care. 100 percent of the contributions go directly to the supported programs, with no deduction for over-head or administrative costs.
Are DONATIONs TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. All KIDstruction Week participants will receive an acknowledgement letter from Children’s Medical Center Foundation with information for your tax purposes. Your donation is 100 percent tax deductible.
