Hyundai supports pediatric cancer researchers through its Hyundai Hope on Wheels program. has awarded pediatricians working in the Children’s Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders more than $1 million since 2011, and the program has donated more than $13 million to similar institutions nationwide since 1998. The grants are presented at an annual ceremony where pediatric cancer patients dip their hands in pant and put their palm prints on a new white Hyundai. It’s a fun, colorful event that symbolizes Hyundai’s support for children and pediatric research. Hyundai executives also arrange for patients to throw out the first pitch at Texas Rangers baseball games each year.
