Adorable stuffed animals and books for kids ages 3 and up now can be great for children in more ways than one. When these $5 items are purchased from Kohl’s cause merchandise program, 100 percent of the net profits go to Kohl’s Health and Wellness Outreach Program at Children’s Medical Center.
Since 2000 Kohl’s has donated more than $3.5 million to Children’s Medical Center, and Kohl’s volunteers gave 285 hours of volunteer time to Children’s in 2013 alone.
“We greatly appreciate Kohl’s for its continuous generosity to Children’s,” said Kern Wildenthal, M.D., Ph.D., president of the Children’s Medical Center Foundation. “The company and its volunteers’ ongoing dedication to health and wellness have supported our overall mission to make life better for children.”
Kohl’s has raised more than $231 million dollars through its cause merchandise program. Last year Kohl’s Cares® awarded more than $400,000 to more than 2,300 young volunteers. Through Kohl’s Associates in Action volunteer program, more than 669,000 associates have donated more than 2.2 million hours of their time since 2001, and Kohl’s had donated more than $63 million to youth-focused nonprofit organizations.
